Eliquis contains apixaban, an oral anticoagulant used to prevent blood clots and stroke in eligible patients. It is used for conditions including atrial fibrillation, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and pulmonary embolism (PE), as well as prevention of recurrent DVT and PE.
